Naforo-Ba compagny launches with the support of the European Union (EU), organizes entries for the selection of candidates for the national finals of CONTECOURS, which open on 1 November 2013 .

The program “TELL the DEVELOPMENT “is financed by the European Union and is controlled by the Company Naforo-Ba of Ivory Coast in Partnership with: Maison de La parole de Bobo Dioulasso (Burkina Faso),Gamzaki – Maison du Conte et du Théâtre (Niger),Centre des Arts du Récit en Isère (Grenoble, France), and in association with Compagnie Agbo Nkoko (Bénin), Fidjus Kontadores Distoria (Cap Vert),Kiini Africa (Guinée),LMI (Libéria), Sac à Paroles (Mali), Théâtre du Baobab (Sénégal), Hakuna Matata (Togo) and French institut of Ivory Coast.
It is an action which gathers many cultural actors around arts in general and the events of tale in particular.
It democratizes the arts and culture by making them accessible to all through stories, myths, diverse stories.

Main aims of the program:

 Make West Africa a large “market” for arts
 To establish a network of collaboration representative of all the countries of the area.
 Strengthen the capacities of the growing professional network
 Favor the access to the culture for all to develop the sector
 Create jobs by the arts of the narrative
 Promote the tale and help to make it known in all its aspects (social, economic, artistic, and cultural)  
 Keep the oral traditions by the tools of telecommunication

The different candidates will be tested during the national phase which will start from January to March 2014, and the winner will be chosen to represent the Ivory Coast in the finals of the international Contecours  taking place from 19 to 25 May 2014 in Abidjan where it will be well placed to compete with other national winners of the countries listed in Contecours

                                              RULES AND REGISTERING CONDITIONS OF CONTECOURS

A_Eligibility:

This competition is free and opened to the young women and to the young men from 18 to 35 years old nationals of the space of the Economic Community The States of western Africa (ECOWAS).  
However for this first international edition(publishing), the Competition(Help) is opened towards(at the place of) the following countries: Benin, Burkina Faso, Cape Verde, Ivory Coast, Guinea, Liberia, Mali, Niger, Senegal, Sierra-Léone, Togo.
The Compulsory theme is the Water.

B_Application Form:

The interested candidates will have to register on:  www.afreekan.net and:
a) Complete the form of participation by clicking on the flag of the country where you belong and where you reside (right).
b) Upload the certified copy of the ID card (National ID card, Certificate of Identity or Passport) for proof of the membership among following contries: Bénin, Burkina Faso, Cap-Vert, Côte d’Ivoire, Guinée, Libéria, Mali, Niger, Sénégal, Sierra-Léone, Togo.
c) Upload the Photo ID

If one of the documents misses, the application will be rejected.

C_Deadline of deposit of applications:
The deadline for submission of various applications is from 01 November  to February 28th, 2014.
